EMDR Certification Consultation & Clinical Mentorship

Developing Confidence, Competence, and Clinical Excellence.

For several years, I felt that something was missing from many traditional therapeutic approaches and forms of talk therapy. While meaningful insight and symptom management often occurred, I was not consistently witnessing the level of transformation I hoped clients could achieve. That changed when I discovered Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.

As I began incorporating EMDR into my clinical work, I witnessed clients heal in ways I previously did not know were possible. Seeing long-standing trauma, attachment wounds, negative beliefs, and nervous system dysregulation begin to shift inspired me to pursue advanced training and deepen my expertise in this modality.

Through the certification process, I discovered that EMDR is far more than a protocol—it is a comprehensive framework for understanding how experiences become stored in the nervous system and how healing naturally unfolds. Consultation helped me move beyond simply "doing EMDR" and learn how to integrate the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model into every aspect of clinical work. It provided individualized support, practical tools, and a deeper understanding of how EMDR can be woven seamlessly into other therapeutic approaches.

Today, I offer individualized consultation for fully trained EMDR therapists who are committed to becoming EMDR Certified and strengthening their clinical confidence, conceptualization skills, and effectiveness.

My Consultation Approach

As a consultant-In-Training, I provide consultation through a strengths-based, validating, empowering, and supportive lens. My goal is to meet clinicians exactly where they are in their learning process while providing practical guidance, clinical mentorship, and hands-on support.

Many clinicians initially experience EMDR as highly structured and protocol-driven. While structure is important, my passion lies in helping therapists develop confidence in the AIP model so they can utilize their natural strengths, therapeutic style, and clinical intuition while remaining grounded in EMDR principles.

As clinicians gain confidence in understanding the "why" behind the protocol, EMDR becomes less rigid and more fluid, allowing for greater creativity, attunement, and authenticity within the therapeutic relationship.

I strive to create a consultation environment where clinicians feel safe asking questions, exploring challenges, making mistakes, and growing into confident trauma therapists.

Areas of Clinical Expertise

Attachment & Relational Trauma

Supporting clinicians in understanding attachment injuries, corrective emotional experiences, and the impact of attachment patterns on treatment planning and healing.

Complex PTSD

Helping clinicians conceptualize and effectively treat clients with developmental trauma, chronic trauma histories, emotional dysregulation, and deeply rooted negative self-beliefs.

Clients Who Feel Stuck or Are Looping

Providing guidance when clients appear unable to move forward despite treatment efforts, helping identify blocking beliefs, protective mechanisms, dissociation, attachment barriers, and nervous system responses that may be interfering with progress.

Nervous System Regulation

Understanding and working effectively with states of hyperarousal and hypoarousal while helping clients build greater regulation, flexibility, and resilience.

Childhood Sexual Abuse

Specialized consultation for clinicians working with survivors of childhood sexual abuse, including shame, dissociation, attachment wounds, nervous system dysregulation, and trauma processing considerations.

Individualized Learning & Session Review

• Expanding the windows of change.

Consultation is tailored to your specific learning needs and professional goals. I offer individualized feedback through case consultation, video review, and observation of recorded sessions when appropriate and clinically permissible.

Reviewing actual sessions can be one of the most powerful ways to accelerate growth, increase confidence, strengthen therapeutic skills, and identify opportunities for deeper attunement and intervention.

Beyond Certification

• Expanding the windows of change.

While consultation fulfills certification requirements, my goal extends beyond helping clinicians obtain a credential. I am passionate about helping therapists develop a deep understanding of the Adaptive Information Processing model, trust their clinical instincts, and cultivate an authentic EMDR practice that reflects their unique strengths and therapeutic style.

When clinicians feel confident, grounded, and connected to the work, they are able to facilitate the kind of transformational healing that inspired many of us to become therapists in the first place.

I consider it a privilege to support fellow clinicians in that journey.
